First Post - My Life, My Dream…
Hey There! This is my first post. Don’t know where this blog is going and how far it can go; one thing I have learned about life is that in order to go anywhere or reach any height, you have to get started.
So, this is my starting point. A baby step.
If you don’t enjoy it, don’t worry. More will come, and in more flavors. Right now, I have three things in mind -
- To record some of the “darnest things” my Kids (William and Isabella) came up. You may find them funny, embarassing or whatever; but for me they are a forever asset that will keep me smiling when I am old.
- To share with you what I learn from these “little people” - It’s fascinating to see how complicated they truly are. We as adults are so preoccupied by everyday chores that sometimes we just miss the very obvious wisdom of life. The easiest fix to the problem is to look at the complex world through a pair (or two pairs) of simple eyes.
- To share with you my struggles as a mom, a wife and a small business owner. Being any one of the above is no easy job; being a 3-in-1 is nothing but a challenge.
Let me know if you have anything in particular you want to see. All I have right now is the passion to start this blog - and I know that’s all I need. I learned this when I quit my job which had consumed 80% of my wake time. I made the decision, without telling anyone, knowing for certain that I would otherwise be convinced that it was not a good idea or at least it was not good timing.
Even my husband was a little shocked. We did talk about the possibility before and he was always supportive - but he never expected me to get it done in such a dramatic way. Now looking back, it was probably the only way to get it done. I was making close to six digit when I quit, and I had no idea how I could recover that income loss. But I sensed there got to be some sort of turning point in my life - there got to be a start, for any dream that can possibly turn true.
Waiting for the perfect timing is suicide to a dream…
Same with a blog. Waiting is bad for two reasons: (1) if I wait until every link is in place, I will never get it done. I know me; (2) life is extremely short - my little people told me so.
So here I am, declaring my intention to the world and the universe that I want to have a blog!
Check back soon, and often; otherwise thy life shall be missing a fun piece!
