He has been watching iCarly a lot recently. What I don’t like is that the program contains a lot of negative elements - not violence or really bad things - just things that are not very positive. And once in a while, he would surprise us with some expressions he learned from the program.
Meanwhile, his desire for power continues - specifically, he wants the authority of “being Daddy”.
“Mommy, how did Daddy get his wedding ring?”
“Well, Mommy gave that to Daddy…”
“Mommy, will I be Daddy if I get the ring?”
“Yes… but you have to grow up first.”
“I already grow up - remember the other day you told me?”
“Right… but you have to fall in love with a beautiful girl, and then you get married… and then…”
“Mommy - you’re SOOOO HOT!! Can you marry me? Please??”
“?!”
“William, what did you just say?” I could barely hold my laugh.
“I saw it on iCarly - boys say this when they want a date… Mommy, please can you marry me - I want to be Daddy…”
